Graham Slee

Well, a fat lot of use the scribbled out bit below is...

What you don't need these days are qualifications or experience, just a team of fanboys shouting how good your particular brand of sh*t is...

But, just to reassure the visitor, we don't have any - we have a reputation instead.

Résumé

Year of birth: 1955

Current occupation: Managing Director, Graham Slee Projects Limited

Specialisation: Analogue Audio Electronics

Personal interests: my family, vinyl records, progressive rock (not prog-rock!), the UK Peak District, Defender 110’s and 90’s, legal herbs, the hypocrisy…

Employment
  •      Engineering craftsman’s apprenticeship (1970/74)
  •      A-V technician (1974/84)
  •      Self employed (1984/89)
    •      Printed circuit board design
    •      PCB manufacture
    •      Electronic design

  •      R&D engineer for hi-fi manufacturer, freelance (1997/98)
  •      International exhibitions, electronics designer, freelance (1997/98)
  •      Graham Slee Projects (gspaudio) founder, designer, etc (1998 >)
Spare time activities
  •      Electronics (age 10 >)
  •      Vinyl records (age 13 >)
  •      Motorcycle racing marshal (age 19)
  •      DJ, resident and on-road (1974-1979)
  •      High fidelity audio (1974 >)
  •      Author, Everyday Electronics project (1980)
  •      Audio kits (1981)
  •      Printed circuit design & manufacture (1982/84)

A thought...

I have worked alongside some of the top engineers of the electronics industry (Zetex [Ferranti], Siemens Medical, Plessey Semiconductors, Cable & Wireless, ...) and I have talked to many of my customers from all walks of life - I've got on fine with all of them.

I don't get on at all with those who perpetuate the fickle "knock and know-all" attitude of the Hi-Fi industry - who do they think they are?
